About the Club

Grangetown Youth and Community Centre

Grangetown Netball Club, based in the heart of Teesside, is a community-driven powerhouse spanning all age groups—from tots to Premier League seniors. Training at Grangetown Youth & Community Centre, the club competes across local, regional, and national leagues, boasting consistent U16 regional wins and historic U14 national cup glory for the North East . Founded over 30 years ago by Geraldine Williams, it has steadily climbed to Premier League 1, promoting young talent and maintaining top-flight status . Geraldine Williams

Geraldine Williams (Seniors)

Hi im Gel Williams I’m the founder and head coach of Grangetown Netball Club. I am a level 3 coach and currently coach our Prem 1 team, Seniors and at Manchester Thunder. I was also the head coach for Ireland U17s. My best moment so far in netball was when Grangetown was successful in getting into National Prem 1.

Ria Small

Ria Small (U16)

My name is Ria Small and I am the lead coach of the U16 section. I am a level 2 coach and I have been coaching and leading this age group for over 19 years. I have the best team behind me who support myself and the girls and make everything possible!! Throughout the years we have had numerous successes winning senior leagues, qualification for U16 Nationals Finals year upon year as the number one junior team in the North East for a number of years now!
